William H. Stott was born in Calhoun, Iowa on June 3rd, 1878 to parents Charles Stott and Harriet Silver. It is not clear exactly when William left Iowa for Kansas but it seems he made several trips back and forth most likely helping the rest of the family move as well. In 1895 he actually shows up on two different census records. In January of 1895 he shows up on the Iowa State Census in Williams, Calhoun, Iowa and by March 1st of that same year, according to the 1895 Kansas State Census, he was in Riverside, Trego county, Kansas. William bought 169 acres of land in the county of Trego, Kansas on the property that is now the Cedar Bluff State Park. He married Lulu May Richardson on October 1st, 1903 and had two children in Trego county, Milo and Jenny, then sold the farm April 16th of 1912, moved to Kansas City and had two more children, Nola and Cliff for a total of four. William lived out the rest of his life in Kansas City Kansas and died at the age of 70 on February 17, 1948. William is buried beside his wife Lulu May in The Highland Park Cemetery at 38th and State Ave. Kansas City, Wyandotte Co. Kansas.
