Margaret was the mother of all 11 children of Griffith Jones, she died 6 May 1665 per Massachusetts, Hampden, Springfield births, marriages, deaths, Volume 1, page 48, FHL #004375670, Image 59 of 594, familysearch.org.
There is no documentary evidence either of a wife Sarah or Esther. Thomas B. Warren cited a 1670 court record for "Sarah, wife of Griffith Jones." However, only one 1670 court record was found, and it shows that Warren misread the first few words. In reality, it said "For likewise is Griffith Jones of Springfield freed from military services with Springfield company." See Massachusetts, Hampshire, Probate Records, Volume 1, page 115, FHL #007705549, Image 77 of 689, familysearch.org.
Pynchon's entry, Margaret's death record, and the 1670 court record images have been uploaded to this memorial so others can see for themselves the accuracy of my statements.
There is also no documentary evidence for the birth, birth location, or parentage of either Margaret or Griffith Jones. As the highly respected genealogist, who first used the scientific method for genealogy stated "It is a perpetual wonder to the genealogist who works constantly in documentary sources to observe how readily the average avocative interested in tracing his ancestry accepts any statement that may be found in print; and even more, to observe the recklessness with which inexperienced compilers rush into print with positive statements which are actually nothing more certain than guesses based on what they have found in print."
