There is no documentary evidence either of a wife Sarah or Esther. Thomas B. Warren cited a 1670 court record for "Sarah, wife of Griffith Jones." However, only one 1670 court record was found, and it shows that Warren misread the first few words. In reality, it said "For likewise is Griffith Jones of Springfield freed from military services with Springfield company."
