Philip Dale Graves, 92, Muncie lost one of its finest old school carpenters and craftsman. The family of Philip Graves has been blessed with almost 93 years, and is grieving the passing of its greatly loved member. On Saturday, June 15, 2013, Philip passed away at home. He was born on June, 28, 1920, to the late Earl and Leona (Stipp) Graves in Muncie.

Philip has been an attending member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Muncie, since 1959. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a Technical Sergeant Armaments Section Chief. He was an active member of the Muncie Carpenters Union for sixty-seven years.

Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Lloyd (husband, Tom) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and Pam Graves of Connersville, IN; son, Danny Graves of Centerville, IN; step daughter, Sandy Weir of Centerville, IN; step son, Steve D. Derrick (wife, Carol) of Marietta, GA; brother, Noel Graves; niece, Ann Graves of Hanover, IN; nephew, David Graves of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of forty-six years, Eva Katherine Graves; and a step brother, "Bud" Graves.
