MORGENTHALER - Anna J. (nee Asciutto) of Oro Valley, Arizona, formerly of New York and Florida, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2012 at the age of 85. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 29, 1927. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Bernard; two daughters: Bernadette Mole (Ronald) and Norine Davila (Dennis); and six grandchildren: Alessandria Campanella (Jack), Jennifer Olshan (Adam), Cynthia Pitcher (Edward), Paul Davila, Elisabeth Chalovich (Daniel), and Caroline LeVasseur (Richard), and 13 great-grandchildren all of whom called her Nana. She is survived by her sister Vivian Bridges, sister and brother-in-law Gilda and Robert Sammarco, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Gloria Asciutto, and brother-in-law Carl Bridges. She shared her love, enthusiasm and zest for life with so many over the years. She was alwys there to offer care and comfort, and her energy and wisdom will be remembered always. Known for her steadfast faith, joyful hope and untiring love, her smile and warmth will be a cherished memory. She will be missed by all. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Donohue Cecere Funeral Home, 290 Post Avenue, Westbury. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 11 AM St. Brigid's R.C. Church, Westbury. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Macular Degeneration Assn. would be appreciated. www.donohue-cecere.com
