Patsy P. Aikens, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5pm-8pm at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, MS 39209, and again Saturday from 1pm-2pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 2pm from the chapel of Lakewood Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Patsy was born in Amite County, MS, graduated from Belzona High School, retired from South Central Bell, and was a member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Quin and LaPearl Prestridge; husband, Nathan "Sonny" Aikens; and sister, Bobby Jean.
Patsy is survived by her siblings, Betty Brister of McComb, MS; Elizabeth Prestridge of Jackson, MS; and Phillip Prestridge (Zena) of West Monroe, LA; nieces LaJeanna Songer; Tammy Creel; Judy Brister; and Debbie Albritton; nephews, Bob Prestridge and Ray Prestridge, step-granddaughter, Jessica Varns; step-children and numerous friends.
