Mr. Douglas Pate, 76, of Bamberg, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Open Door Baptist Church in Bamberg, with the Rev. Dean Deer officiating. Burial will follow at the Ott Cemetery in Branchville.
Doug was born in Marlboro County, the son of the late Edgar and Edna Pate. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Brenda A. Pate; son, Mr. Adam "Bubba" Pate; daughters, Mrs. Donna (Matt) Peay and Ms. Melody Barrs; grandchildren Will Barrs, Tristen Barrs and Allison "Boogie" Barrs, and sisters Charity Todd and Elsie Williams. He was predeceased by three brothers, four sisters and one son-in-law.
