Born Sept. 23, 1917, in Hamilton Township, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of the late Earl K. and Ethel Mae Jones Detrich.
During her life, Mrs. Geyer worked in the food service department at Shippensburg University and also at T.B. Wood's.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orrstown. In her later years, Mrs. Geyer lived with her children. During that time, she attended the Greenspring Brethren in Christ Church, Newville, the South Mountain Chapel, Shippensburg, and the Berean Bible Fellowship Church, State Line.
She was a 1936 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She was the widow of Harold N. Geyer Sr., who died in 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Harold N. (husband of Marilea) Geyer Jr., Chambersburg, and the Rev. John E. (husband of Sue) Geyer, Everett; two daughters, Virginia G. Starliper, Shippensburg, and Trudy M. (Mrs. John) Borrelli, Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren, Ginger G. Poffenberger, Mechanicsburg, whom she helped raise, V. Kyline Keefer, Newburg, Anna M. Trace, Fayetteville, David Borrelli, Dallas, Texas, Josette Danheim, Lubbock, Texas, and Jonathan A. Geyer, Everett; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson and one sister.
