Clifford is survived by daughter, Linda Selldin Hooper and her husband, Frank Hooper; sister, Frances Mankin Owens; sister-in-law, Ruth Anita Mankin; grandsons, Rich, and Gary Selldin and wife Karen; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Glenn, Madison and MacKenzie Selldin; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
Clifford attended school in Celeste, Texas and was a graduate of Plainview Business School, prior to entering the U. S. Army Air Corps in Greenville, Texas. Following his return from the military, Clifford joined Humble/ Exxon Oil Company in their purchasing department where he stayed for 30 years until his retirement.
Clifford was married to the love of his life, Annie, for 67 years, who preceded him in death. Together they served for many years as charter members of the First Baptist Church of Spring Branch. They were also active members of the Royal Oaks Civic Club.
Clifford was a wonderful loving husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to express gratitude to all the nursing and medical staff at Heritage Oaks Assisted and Memory Care facility in Conroe.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 from, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. Funeral Service will commence at 12:30 p.m., to be followed by burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
