WOLFE CITY " Mary Lucille Thornton, 85, of Wolfe City died Saturday in a Dallas hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Wolfe City with Rev. Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton was born to Charlie and Dora Hooten Finch on May 4, 1916, in the Hickory Creek Community of Hunt County. She married Ozell Thornton on Dec. 19, 1916*, in Greenville and he preced her in death in 1994.
Suriving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Max and Nancie Thornton of Irving; a brother, Clifford Finch of Houston and a sister, Mrs. Frances Owens of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren, Jeffry Lynn Thornton of Irving and Charla Kay Matlack and her husband Gregory Matlack of Carrollton, and a great-grandson, Andrew Thomas Matlack of Carrollton.
