JoAnn (Striegel) Doris, 84, of Bradenton, Florida was born April 15, 1929 at Olney, Illinois and died June 9, 2013 in Key West, Florida.

She was the only child of Levi Mathias Striegel and Deua (Dean) Striegel.

JoAnn attended Elementary and High School in Clay City, Illinois. She graduated from Missouri Business College, St. Louis, Missouri and was also a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois.

She was a life member of the Southern Illinois University Alumni Association, a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the auxiliary of The Good Samaritan Home, Quincy, Illinois and a member of Westside Christian Church, Bradenton, Florida.

JoAnn was married 51 years to Brigadier General William E. Doris. He died in 2004.

Those who survive him are her son, Matthew E. Doris of Bradenton, Florida, grandsons Zachary Matthew Doris and Nicholas James Doris, both of Jensen Beach, Florida and grandson Blaiden Michael Doris also of Jensen Beach, Florida plus several nephews, nieces and cousins.

JoAnn in early years was a secretary of Pine Oil Company, Clay City, Illinois , secretary for the Clay City High School and a Kindergarten teacher at Dennis School, Decatur, Illinois.

A memorial celebration of JoAnn's life will take place at Westside Christian Church, Bradenton, Florida on Wednesday, June 12 at 12:00 noon with a time of visitation with family one hour prior to services at 11:00 am.

Burial will occur at a time to be determined in Clay City, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Lake Aurora Christian Camp, 237 Golden Bough Road, Lake Wales, Florida, 33853.
