Garey P. Alexander, 77 of Canton, Missouri died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home in Canton.

The son of Orville M. and Hazel E. Dunbar Alexander was born on May 18, 1936 at Quincy, Illinois.

He was united in marriage to Elnora Still on April 22, 1975 at Quincy, Illinois.

Garey attended the Living Water Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Quincy. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sargent from 1954 until 1962. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife Elnora Alexander of Canton, Mo.; six children, Christine Bronstine & husband Rickey of Hull, Il., Carrie Motley of Canton, Mo., Catrice James of Bluffs, Il., William Barrington of Canton, Mo., Jeff Alexander of Ogden, Utah and Scott Alexander of Quincy, Il.; 26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Brian Alexander & wife Linda of Quincy, Il.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Beth Ingram and brother, David Alexander.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10 AM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Brian Stone officiating with burial in Quincy Memorial Park Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Canton.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Support Group at Quincy, Illinois.

Pallbearers: Josh Motley, Jacob Motley, William Barrington, Brian Alexander, Rick Bronstine and Adam Barrington.
