GETTYSBURG – Ralph E. Copenhaver, 68, of 248 ½ S. Franklin St., died Saturday morning at the Warner Hospital. He was the husband of Helen I. Beck Copenhaver.
Born in Jefferson, he was a son of the late John and Ellen Sterner Copenhaver.
He was a member of the Open Door Church in Chambersburg. He had been employed at the Gettysburg College Dining Hall for the past 15 years.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Nellie E. Krebs, York; Mrs. Helena M. Bechtel, Norfolk, Va.; Anna Maye Copenhaver, 248 ½ S. Franklin St.; one son, Burnell R. Copenhaver, Littlestown; two brothers, John Copenhaver, Brodbeck, and Walter Copenhaver, Littlestown; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Beck, Littlestown, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with his pastor, the Rev. Paul Heffner and the Rev. Terry Rhyne, presiding. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
There will be a viewing at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9.
