Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will be Friday, June 14, 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Florence City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Quigley, Phillip Quigley, Michael Quigley, J.D. Houston, Will Houston and Kevin Holder.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Royce Quigley; parents, William Columbus Angel and Cora Dietz Hooks Angel; sisters, Dorothy Jean Angel and Sarah Angel Darby; brother, Billy Gene Angel; two very special aunts that took her in their home at a very early age to raise, Mattie Angel Rhodes and Kathleen Angel Darby.
Survivors include her sons, Ralph Quigley (Donna), of Georgia, and Raymond Quigley (Martha), of Texas; daughters, Rebecca Quigley Houston (Scott), of Mississippi and Sarah Quigley Holder (Kevin), of Birmingham; 13 grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church since 1972. Having been given a wonderful gift of love for little ones, Mrs. Quigley found great joy in taking care and teaching the pre-school and nursery children. She was blessed to be able watch them grow up into adults.
Helen graduated from Coffee High School in the class of 1951 and kept in contact with fellow classmates through the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Action Meals-on-Wheels. 745 Thompson Street, Florence, AL 35630. Helen and Royce worked together to deliver many meals for several years.
