David John Grace, 66, went home to be with the Lord July 22, 2012 at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, CA, while surrounded by family and friends.
David was born October 29, 1945 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He grew up in Sacramento, attended Highlands High and received his AA at ARC. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served on the USS Constellation.
Married to Marcia Fleury from 1968 to 1989. Worked at McClellan AFB from 1982-2001 and retired 2006 from the US Forest Service in Challenge, CA. David remarried on March 27, 1993, to Judi Upstill in Fair Oaks, CA. They were married for 20 years.
Member of Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder to missions and facilitated Divorce Recovery Workshops. He enjoyed RV'ing across the US with Judi, sharing their faith along the way.
He is survived by his wife Judi; sisters Kathleen Grace of Davis, CA; Phyllis Karr of Carmichael, CA; daughters Jennifer Guzman, Terresa and Dawn Grace of Sacramento; step-daughter, Danielle Grace, and stepson Chris Rasor and their families which include 11 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Memorial service held on August 1, 2012, 11 a.m. at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church.
