Sherry Crawford

Longtime Paris floral designer Sherry Rae Crawford, 71, of Paris died Monday, June 10, 2013, at her residence.

Her funeral will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be after 4 p.m.

Born in Cottage Grove on July 29, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Pauline Gatewood Nichols.

She was married on Nov. 14, 2005, to William Russell "Pete" Crawford, who died Jan. 17, 2006.

Crawford was a Primitive Baptist and enjoyed animals, gardening and dancing.

She leaves one son: Andy (Sandra) Jackson of Puryear; one sister: Kay (Charles) Lampkins of Cottage Grove; one brother: Larry (Sue Carol) Nichols of Paris; one grandchild: Adam Jackson of Paris; two great-grandchildren: Kennedy and Aden Jackson; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Ann Archie of Pris.
