Cheryl Ellen Brazzi-Treppa, 75, was surrounded by her loving family as she quietly passed to her eternal rest on Friday, May 31, 2013. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and caring for all that knew and loved her. She was born in Salinas, California, to Althea and Quentin Brazzi, on April 22, 1938. Cheryl stayed mostly in California, living also in Napa, Lake and Alameda Counties. She would marry and bring up her family in the state she would always call home.
She was a devoted mother who always put her family first and despite obstacles, endeavored to teach and give her children the best of life. She set an example of style, grace and dignity, no matter her circumstances. She was a dependable daughter, tending to her parents' needs without complaint or selfishness. She was an accomplished gourmet cook and prepared eagerly awaited gifts of treats during the holidays and various preserves during summer months for her neighbors and friends. Her home (and heart) was always open.
She was a capable and hard worker whose responsibilities consistently expanded no matter where she worked or what she was doing. She would eventually spend most of her professional years as a human resources director or administrator. Her passing is a profound loss to her family and friends. She will be missed greatly.
She leaves behind her son, Steven Peregrina, daughters Tracey Treppa (Markus Strunck), Sherry Treppa and adopted daughter Carol Lopez; beloved grandchildren Spencer Bridges, Madison Bridges and Steven Harrington; and brother Gordon Brazzi. Her precious cats Sammy Shadow Treppa (SST) and Cody (Tank) have already begun missing her.
