Fort Worth- Joann Collie Vernon, 79, passed away Sunday, June 9th, 2013.

Funeral- 10:00am Friday, June 14th at Coker Funeral Home, Jacksboro, Texas, followed by burial at Cundiff Cemetery.

Survivors- Son, David Wayne Manning and daughter-in-law Michelle, of Austin, Texas; Daughter Kathy Ann Mabey and son-in-law Charles of Fort Worth, Texas; Grandchildren Jodi Blackmon; Donald Louis Owens, Jr.; Ruby, Kaleigh and Micah Manning. Great grandchildren Katie Galbreath; Michaela Waller; Donald Louis Owens, III (Tres); Sister Doris Williams of Stephenville, Texas; Brother Thomas Neal Collie of Jacksboro, Texas.

Joann was preceded in death by her husband Major John Vernon and her parents Elmer Lee and Ruby Mae(Richey) Collie. Joann retired after many years of service from General Services Administration. Joann was a lively, spirited and generous woman who loved her family deeply. She was blessed with great friendships and wonderful, caring neighbors. We will be sharing many memories and funny stories of her for many, many years to come. She is now peacefully in the arms of her Lord.
