The Evening Journal, Lisbon OH, Saturday 15 March 1969, front page - MRS. MABEL ROWLEY, 79, of R.D. 1 Lisbon died at 1:50 p.m. Friday at Salem City Hospital where she had been admitted Thursday. She was born Aug. 30, 1889 in Wayne Township, the daughter of HENRY and MARGARET McQUOID BENNER.

She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Women's Missionary Society of the church, Laura Foster Bible Class, an honorary member of New Lebanon Missionary Society and a member of the Homemakers Council of Wayne Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband CYRUS on Nov. 2, 1940. Survivors include four daughters, MRS. LUCILLE CHESTNUT and MRS. CHARLENE RICE, both of R.D. 1 Lisbon, MRS. JANET HAYS of Titusville, Fla., and MRS. SHIRLEY THOMPSON of Hanoverton; three sister, MRS. HAZEL WELSH of Hanoverton, MRS. LUELLA WHITAKER of Salineville, and MRS. ETHEL RICE of Leetonia; one brother HAROLD BENNER of Salem; 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

A brother, NORMAN and a sister, MRS. MARGARET McCORMICK preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Henry Funeral Home. The Rev. William Harper of Bethel Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
