Estelle Cain, 76, of 937 Priam St., Petersburg, Va., passed away Saturday morning, June 26, 2004, at the Southside Regional Medical Center.
Miss Cain was a native of Petersburg, Va., community of Blandford, all of her life; the daughter of the late Thomas Cain and Minerva Cain. She attended the Petersburg Public Schools and a retiree of Titmus Optical Company for over 35 years.
Miss Cain is survived by one son, William A. Cain (Edna) of Petersburg; one daughter, Bernadette Cain Moss of Petersburg; five grandchildren, William D. Parham Sr. (Kasha), Clifton S. Cain, Shervon Vonte' Brown Jr., Edtina M. Cain, Domonick S. Cain, all of Petersburg; six great-grandchildren, William Parham Jr., Calvin Parham, Carolyn Parham, Dejce Parham, Seneca Binnis, Niajah Coleman; one sister, Minerva Cain Williams of Petersburg; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cain of Petersburg; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends; devoted nieces, Laura Cain Boyd of Fort Washington, Md., Edith Mason of Petersburg; devoted friends, Mable Blackmon, Jessie Humphrey, Ernest Faultz, Eddie Randolph; and one devoted cousin, Lawrence Jones.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2004, at the Bethany Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Rosa Sykes-Wynn, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Bernadette Moss, 830 Miller St., or also by calling 733-4244.
