Early Life: Brent was born December 12, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Bryner Ellis and Mary LaVe Taylor Ellis. He grew up in Holladay, Utah. An Olympus High School graduate, Brent attended the University of Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University in business management. He served in the National Guard during the Vietnam War, stationed at Ford Ord and Camp Williams.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Brent worked at State Brass Foundry and for Dan Jones and Associates for the past 25 years, forming lifetime friendships. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he enjoyed being actively involved, and served in many leadership positions, most recently serving as stake financial clerk. Throughout his life, he served others and made many friends. He loved the mountains, skiing, motorcycles, rock climbing and sailing. Loved being with family, loved his nieces and nephews and his dogs. Brent Taylor Ellis, loving son, brother, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 7, 2013. He was 61.
Survived By: His parents; brothers and sisters: Lynn (Marilyn) Ellis, John (Linda) Ellis, MaryAnn (Kevin) Brown, Stephen (Kris) Ellis, Peggy (Dave) Galloway; nieces and nephews.
Preceded In Death By: His grandparents: William John and Dora Bryner Ellis, Phillip T. and Lola North Taylor.
