Retired Chief Warrant Officer 3. He grew up in Healdton and Durant.

He enlisted in the Army in 1937 and served over the net 23 years in Japan, Korea, German, and at various US posts, including Fort Sill. During WWII, he assisted in the initial activation of the US Army's Signal Corps units nationwide. He also participated in the landing on Okinawa in 1944. He was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service during 1950, preparing radio equipment for combat use prior to the Korean Conflict.

He married Rita Oliveira on Jan 23, 1943, in Reno, Nevada. She died the following year. He later married Rebecca Frances Kinzer in Grandfield on Feb 28, 1954.

Following his retirement from the Army on May 1, 1960, he continued his government service as an instructor in the Communications and Electronics Dept at Fort Sill, until he retired in 1974. He owned and operated Adcock Electronics from 1973-9.

He was a founding member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church. He served as Sunday School Superintendent and as a member of the administrative board for many years.

Survivors include his wife, his mother, Bryan, TX, four daughters, two sons, a sister, and four grandchildren.
