Rebecca Parsons Dixon was the daughter of Solomon Parsons and Lydia Sturgill. She was the granddaughter of William Parsons and Mary Cragg and Francis Sturgill and Rebecca Hash.

The book on the Sturgill Family by David A. Sturgill has her birth as 1823 but since she married about 1827 we feel that is in error. She was born closer to 1806 per researchers Emily B and Mary Beth I.
She married Alvin Dixon sometime in 1827. Alvin was the s/o Moses Dixon and Sarah Osborne.
