Richard Allen Belz was born Jan. 24, 1950, in Davenport, a son of Walter George and Marian Matilda (Snow) Belz. He was united in marriage to Karaway Miller on Aug. 11, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport.

He served our country for 20 years in the Air Force. After his discharge, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver for many companies, most recently for Steel Warehouse. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
