Anne (Lavo) Santacrose, 83 of Endicott, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Willow Point Nursing Home, March 14, 2013. She created a loving, wonderful family and she had a special gift for making friends feel like family. Annie's family deeply appreciates the kindness and loving care she received from her Willow Point Nursing Home family. As an accomplished artist and framer Annie used her artistic gifts to inspire others to create, to see, to enjoy life. Her humor, positive outlook, and warm and assuring way made a difference in the lives of everyone who knew her.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Anthony (Onnie); a grandson Joe; her parents Vincent and Susan Lavo; brothers Ray and Carl Lavo and a sister Mary Lavo. She is survived by two daughters, Susie Edwards, Annie Fabiano and her partner Karen; three sons, Tom and Carol, Jim and Norma, and John and Karen; her grandchildren, Theresa (Pat) Boyer, Christian (Rob) Abell, Mike (Kim), Jessica (fiance Eric Small), Lilly, Maria, Brian and Laura Santacrose; Annie and Alex Fabiano; and Lizzie Edwards; eight great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Kimi Lavo; Cosmo and Vi Santacrose and Bob and Barbara Fiorini; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and many dear and special friends.
Annie was a founding parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and a choir member there and at St. Ambrose Church. She was also a member of Pastel Society of America; Fine Arts Society and the Artist Guild of Binghamton.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 9:30 a.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Joe Santacrose Foundation, 306 Mersereau Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760 or Willow Point Nursing Home Memorial Fund, 3700 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
