Mary Alice Schlesinger, 89, Bloomington, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Monday (June 3, 2013) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
She was born Jan. 24, 1924 in Xenia, the daughter of Claude Leland and Mabel Dimple Hendy Tate. She married Robert B. Schlesinger on Sept. 10, 1950 in Flora. He died Feb. 28, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are four children, Paul (Susan) Schlesinger, Jane (Richard) Stites, Nancy (Jeffrey Chudwin) Schlesinger and Carol (William) King; six grandchildren, Charles (Barbara) Schlesinger, Carolyn (fiance, Robert Paluch) Schlesinger, David (Rachel) Stites, Amy Stites, William King and Emily King and two great-grandchildren, Clara and Eleanor Schlesinger.
