Alvin J. Svendgaard Died Sunday. Lifetime Resident of County Died of Heart Attack.
A lifetime resident of Washington County, Alvin J. Svendgaard, 57 years of age died suddenly at his home Sunday afternoon of a heart attack. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. George Palleson officiating. interment will follow in the Blair cemetery.
Mr. Svendgaard is survived by his wife, Helen: three daughters, two sons, five sisters, and two brothers. Mr. Svendgaard was born October 13, 1903 at the Svendgaard homestead west of Blair the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter A. Svendgaard. He married Helen Larson, February 12, 1929.
The Svendgaards lived on the family farm west of Blair until a few years ago when they moved to Blair. Mr. Svendgaard was employed at the Blair Manufacturing Co. at the time of his death. The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
