She was born to Alfred and Mabel Lee on July 16, 1915, in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mildred married Ralph Berryhill in 1937. Mildred and Ralph came to Council Bluffs, in 1941. Since then, she has been a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, where she was the organist for more than 20 years.
She was a longtime employee of the former Bluffs Gynecology Associates, from which she retired in 1982.
Millie loved music, nineteenth century poetry, and the wonders of nature.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1987; son, David in 2011. Mildred's enduring sorrow was the loss in infancy of her twin daughters Sandra and Sonja.
She is survived by son, John Berryhill and wife, Jarrell Burton, of Rockport, Texas; daughter-in-law, Martha Berryhill, of Fargo, N.D.; grandchildren, Jane Carter, of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Kenneth Berryhill, of Lafayette, Colo.; great grandson, David Carter, of Pittsburg, Pa.
