SPRINGFIELD - Sharon Elaine Irwin-Jones, 59, of Springfield died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at her home.

She was born Aug. 4, 1945, in Springfield, the daughter of Alvin Wade and Marcella May King Kirk Sr.

Mrs. Irwin-Jones was a data processing technician with the Illinois Department of Revenue and worked in data entry at Marine Bank. She was a member of Sarah Price Temple 1267, Nellie and Robert Council 103 and Second Timothy Baptist Church, where she served as assistant Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Growing in Christ Missionary Circle. She formerly served as financial treasurer and secretary of Grand Daughter Ruler Post 809.

Survivors: son, David J. (wife, Vanessa) Irwin Jr. of Springfield; two daughters, Tanya M. Irwin (companion, Vince) of Springfield and Angie Stowe-Jones of Houston; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; brother, Alvin Wade Kirk Jr. of Springfield; two sisters, Ella Jean (husband, Nathaniel) Hines and Sandra Kay (husband, Roger) Shaw, both of Decatur; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Second Timothy Baptist Church, the Rev. Richard B. Maye officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
