(Florida Times-Union): Lumley, A. L., 71, of Valdosta died Sunday, January 26, 2003 at his home. He was born on August 2, 1931, in Vidalia to the late Albert L., Sr. and Mabel Strickland Lumley and had lived in Jacksonville before moving to Valdosta. Mr. Lumley was retired from Air Van Co. in Jacksonville and was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Lena Lumley, two daughters and sons in law, Lou and Bubba Fletcher, Debbie and Lee Griffin, one son and daughter in law, Ira and Joyce Lumley all of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Brent Fletcher, Brandi Fletcher, Michelle Ulyatt and Ray Simpson, stepgrand-daughter, Brandy Fischbach, one brother, Barney Lumley of Valdosta, three sisters, Lila Mae Markham of Starke, Fla., Arlene Brown of Savannah and Faye Pearce of Jacksonville. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, January 28, 2003 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Austin DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 pm.
