Mr. Achey spent the greater part of his life in Cedar county. In 1911 he was united in marriage to Katherine Lamp. To this union was born one son, Leslie. He was a member of the Moose lodge.
Those preceding him death are his parents and a sister, Minerva Kern. Surviving are; his wife, Mrs. Katherine Achey; his son, Leslie; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Schutt and Mrs. Bertha Mitchell of Tipton, Nedia Fankhauser of Buchanan and Iva Cook of Lisbon; one brother, Christopher Achey of Tipton; one grandson, Wesley Achey; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18, at 2 o'clock in the Sheets funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Leo G. Wolfe. Interment was in Masonic cemetery.
