John Howard Aymond
Port Barre — Funeral services for John Howard Aymond, 62, will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, March 10, 2007, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Reverend Paul Metrejean will conduct the services.
Mr. Aymond, a native and longtime resident of Port Barre, died at 1:00PM Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Opelousas General Health System.
Survivors include: his wife, Elaine Guidroz Aymond of Prairie Ronde; son, Tony Aymond and wife Jessica of Port Barre; two daughters, Charlotte Broussard and husband Cliff of Port Barre and Angella Aymond of Prairie Ronde; six brothers, Joseph Doris Aymond, Jr. of Lake City, Fla., Ronald "Ronnie" Aymond and wife Sue of Crowley, Joseph Lee Aymond and wife Vickie of Hebron, KY, Jimmy Lee Aymond of Athens, GA, Robert Lee Aymond of New Iberia,and Wilbert Aymond of Opelousas; two sisters, Hilda Quirk of Port Barre and Dianna Lee Aymond of Opelousas; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Mr. Aymond was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Doris Aymond, Sr. and Thelma Angelle Aymond; a son John Howard Aymond, Jr. and a grandson Johnny Lee Aymond.
Visiting hours will be observed from in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre starting Friday, March 9, 2007 at 10:00AM until 10:00PM and reopen on Saturday at 8:00AM until service time. A rosary will be recited at 7:00PM on Friday.
