Arthur Garfield Altizer, 50, a lifelong resident of Montgomery and Pulaski counties, died at his home on the Alumspring Road early yesterday of apoplexy

Survivors are his mother, Mrs V S Altizer, Newbern, his widow, Mollie Cox Altizer; two daughters, Mrs. Ione Grantham, of Lynchburg, and Mrs Lincoln Baugh, and two sons, Arko and A. G. Altizer, Jr., and also five sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held in the Thornspring church tomorrow at 2 p. m, with the Rev. J. D. Mayberry, of Independence, in charge, assisted by the Rev. Elton V Jones.
