George E. Boyles, 76, of Magee died June 3 at Magee General Hosptial. He was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. Services were held June 5 at 11 a.m. from Dry Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Ray Burnham, Rev. Wardell Kennedy and Rev. Jerome McLendon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery and Colonial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Daisy Boyles of Magee; two sons, George Henry Boyles of Magee and James Shannon Boyles of Mendenhall; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jewel Myers of Pinola; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a brother, J.C. Boyles of Homewood and a sister, Mrs. Zee Welber of Georgia.
