Born March 23, 1921 in Rosebud, Texas, the daughter of Emil and Ella (Stamman) Bruedigan, she had lived in Newmarket for 60 years.
She worked as a payroll clerk for Alrose Shoe in Exeter, Royce Shoe, Newmarket Shoe and Timberland Shoe, from which she retired.
She was a communicant of St. Mary Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of American in Newmarket. Darline was also a member of the Robert G. Durgin American Legion Auxiliary Unit #67, Newmarket, and the Newmarket Senior Citizens.
Darline loved spending time with family, baking, her flower gardens and arts and crafts.
Her husband of 61 years, Bolis C. Kartaszewicz died Jan. 6, 2007. She was also predeceased by three brothers.
Survivors include three children, Kathy Dawes of Virginia, Gail Smith of Dover and Robert Kartaszewicz of Lebanon, Maine; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Tues, Jun 9, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Newmarket Senior Citizens.
