Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude S. Alston (-1964) will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. from the Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church with Rev. J. W. Walker, officiating. Mrs. Alston, a resident of this city for over 60 years, died on Saturday afternoon, 21 March, at a local hospital. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Alice A. Pringle of Palatka, Mrs. Alberta Hill of Ft. Walton Beach and Mrs. Pathenia Blakely of Chicago, Ill.; son, Charles N. Alston of New York, N.Y.; sister, Mrs. Ella Banks of Palatka; eight grandchildren and other relatives. Friends may call at the Lawson Chapel tonight from 6 till 9:30 and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of E. W. Lawson & Son Funeral Home.
