Obituary
James Bill Kelems, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. James Bill was born February 18, 1927 in Dunklin County, Missouri to Harry and Donzella Kelems. He graduated from Holcomb High School in Holcomb, MO. He became a Christian at age 17. He was drafted to the army for a year from 1945-1946. He attended Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas. James Bill taught school at several schools in Dunklin County, MO prior to joining the Highway Patrol in 1953. He remained with the Highway Patrol, working in Kirksville and St. Charles County, MO until he retired in 1987. He was a long time resident of Wentzville, Mo before moving in 2005 to the Baptist Home in Chillicothe, MO until July 2012. Most recently he had been living at Villa Theresa, in O'Fallon, MO. He was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis until 2013. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Kelems, one son Lanny Kelems and one grandchild, Hannah Webb. James Bill is survived by 4 children, Charlotte Baldwin, Sara DeWitt, Kevin Plumlee and Pam Webb, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
