Roy L. Kerner, 66, of Middle Street, Locustdale, passed away Thursday at his residence.
Born in Ashland, Dec. 21, 1946, he was a son of the late Roy Kerner Sr. and Thelma Heffner Kerner.
He graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1964. He was a member of the Good Fellowship Club, Ashland. He was an avid Phillies fan, loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed playing baseball as a pitcher.
A son, Randy Kerner, preceded him in death in 2001.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Lucas Kerner, Locustdale; sons, Roy Kerner III, Locustdale, Douglas Kerner, Lavelle, Kevin Kerner, Locustdale, and David Schultz, Ashland; two sisters, Shirley Wehry, Locustdale, and Bette Kerner, Shenandoah; grandchildren, Shayne and Jessica and a step- grandson, Quentin Schultz.
Funeral services were held at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland. Interment in Brock Cemetery Ashland. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, had charge of arrangements. Visit our website at www.kullfuneral.com.
