Kendall was born on September 24, 1942 to Thomas Jefferson and Leatha Josephine Byrd Burns in Springhill, LA and passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 in Springhill, LA. He was an active member of First Baptist Church and was a resident of Bell Oaks Group Home. He worked for many years in the Bell Oaks Recycling Operation.
He is survived by three brothers, Bevil Burns and Thomas B. Burns both of Springhill, LA, Kenneth Burns and wife, Linda of Baton Rouge, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Sybil Parker, Maxine Brooks, and brothers, Elton Burns and Noel Byrd.
Pallbearers will be Joe Harris, Delton Nail, Erik Burns, Thomas Burns Jr., Shane Lowe, and Gary Byrd. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Burns, and Virgil Moore.
