Hoerdt is a small rural town located in the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz (Rheinland-Palatinate in English). Formerly, in the 19th century, the Pfalz was part of the Kingdom of Bavaria.

The modern state is distinct from the German federal state of Bavaria.
