Albert Stradling Sharp, 68, a Gaston native, died Friday afternoon at Bedford, Ohio, where he was a resident. Mr. Sharp, who left Delaware County as a young man, had been a teacher for 41 years. Most of that period he taught in grade school and junior high school at Cleveland, Ohio. He belonged to the Federated Church at Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Bowman Sharp; four daughters; eight grandchildren, and six sisters--three in Indiana and three in Ohio.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Meeks Mortuary here with the Rev. Lavon Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Eaton. The funeral party will arrive in Muncie Monday morning.
