THOMAS ALFRED WALKER, was born 22 Oct 1836 in Maury Co., Tn., the son of T.A. Walker and wife, Barthenia Woolard. He enlisted in the Maury Light Artillery during the Civil War and served until he was taken prisoner and sent to Chicago, Ill. It was there that he contracted tuberculosis and was paroled home. He was home only a short time before he died on 31 Jan 1866. He had married Miss Celia P. Fitzgerald on 30 Aug 1855 and to them were born three sons; John Wortham Walker, William Edward Walker and Dr. Madison Franklin Walker. MCTC). Buried WALKER (T.A.) CEMETERY.
