Simpson of Elwood, grocery merchandiser for Marsh Supermarkets, Inc. will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Copher-Fesler Funeral Home here, with burial in the Elwood City Cemetery. He died Sunday in Ball Memorial Hospital at Muncie. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eleanor Simpson.

ELWOOD -- Daniel J. Simpson, Rt. 3, died early Sunday at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after an illness, of a few weeks. He was a grocery merchandiser for Marsh Foodliners and was a member of the Elwood Elks Club, Sigma Chi fraternity, the Elwood Country Club and the Columbia Club in Indianapolis. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor (McCall) Simpson; two children, Daniel C. Simpson and Mrs. Sally Keel, both of Tulsa, Okla.; two stepchildren, William McCall and Mrs. Evonne Green, both of Elwood; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth McVicker of Bloominglon, and Mrs. Edna Dill of Indianapolis; three brothers, David Simpson of Seattle, Wash., Raymond Simpson of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Billy Joe Simpson of Blue Springs, Mo., and 13 grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home with burial in Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
