January 27, 2002 - Pete Dunda, 87, of Pueblo, passed away Jan. 25, 2002. Born June 13, 1914, in Pueblo, Colo.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Helen Dunda; four brothers John, Steve, Mike and Frank; and two sisters, Mary (Boyd) Dunda and Ann (Hill) Dunda. Survived by beloved wife of 64 years, Julia (Uhal) Dunda; sisters, Sophie (Panion) Dunda and Julia (Rakich) Dunda; son, Peter (Susan) Dunda; daughter, Sharon (Feliks) Speier; grandchildren, Peter (Suzette) Dunda, Deidra Speier, Laura (Tim) Barkocy, Darren (Becky) Speier, Dorene (Jeff) Turner, Andy Dunda; great-grandchildren, Sierra Speier, Emily and Jack Barkocy, Aleea Turner and Alexander Dunda; and numerous nieces and nephews

Pete was a retired steelworker of 42 years and an avid bowler and fisherman. He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball and was fond of accordion polka music.

Parastas, 7 p.m. Tuesday, and funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 801 Summit. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Family and friends will be received after interment at St. Michael's Hall Church basement. Donations may be made to St. Michael's Orthodox Church or to the charity of your choice in his memory.
