Born in Salfordville, PA, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary Edna (Lesher) Seachrist.
Mr. Seachrist was employed as a tool and die maker for the former Delbar Products, Perkasie, PA for 22 years until retiring in 1988. He also operated the Seachrist Gun Shop in East Rockhill Twp. Previously, he worked as a welder for the former Hartman Trailers Co., Perkasie, for 35 years, serving as plant manager for the owner, Samuel Pierce.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Quakertown, PA.
A member of the Antique Hit or Miss Engine Collectors, he collected one-cylinder engines, antique farm engines and tractors.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Dennis Seachrist and his wife Patricia, of Sellersville, PA, and Frank Monroe Seachrist and his wife Stella, of Washington, MI; five daughters, Linda Louise Seachrist, of Perkasie, Patricia Serene Afflerbach, of Coatesville, PA, Mary Ann Sari and her husband Yasar, of Quakertown, Cindy Fay Kratz and her husband Darryl, of Richlandtown, PA, and Tina Marie Beer and her husband Mark, of Orefield, PA; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a brother, James Seachrist and his wife Nancy, of Argus, PA.
His Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery, Trumbauersville, PA.
