Obit from Messenger of Truth, Issue 8, 1984:

My beloved wife and companion, our loving mother and grandmother, Cleora Hazel Hartman, was born September 29, 1912, to Charles and Nora Hartman at Gypsum, Kansas. She peacefully fell asleep in her home in the early morning of March 16, 1984, reaching the age of 71 years, 5 months, and 17 days. Death was caused by heart complications.
She grew to womanhood and received her education in McPherson County, Kansas.
On October 15, 1935, she found her life's companion in me, Urpha Nightingale. We shared joys and sorrows for over forty-eight years. God blessed our union with three sons and three daughters.
In the year of 1956 she felt her lost condition, and, upon true repentance, she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour. She, together with me, was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite by Min. Harry Wenger.
We lived in various localities, including ten years in the Coalinga, California, area, until moving to the Atwater community in 1966, where we resided until her death.
We cherish loving memories of Mother and her unselfish concern for others. Her devotion and love shown to us as a family will always remain with us. Her willing hands and understanding heart were shown in many avenues of service, including faithful attendance at Sewing Circle and Grace Nursing Home. We are comforted by her testimony of a clear assurance of being ready to meet her Lord.
She leaves to mourn her departure: me, her bereaved husband; three sons: Melvin and wife Linda of Prescott, Arizona; Gerald and wife Estalee of Waterford, California; Ricky and wife Joyce of Livingston, California; three daughters: Wilma Dean, Mrs. Lavern Schmidt, of Montezuma, Kansas; Menuella Elaine, Mrs. Dave Drake, of Delhi, California; Mary Kathleen Poteat of Turlock, California; three sisters: Daisy Marie Cooper of Texas; Laverna (Betty) Ethel Brown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Ellanora Ruth Barwick of Arkansas; four brothers: Virgil Clifford Hartman of Beaumont, Texas; Harvey L. Hartman of McPherson, Kansas; Marvin Lee Ehrsum of Denver, Colorado; Ervin R. Hartman of Prescott, Arizona; nineteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and three brothers.
Funeral services were held at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Winton, California, on Tuesday, March 20, 1984. Ministers John Wiens and John Jantz were in charge. Burial was in the Winton Cemetery.
