No death date was listed in that Harrelson Bible. The family memory was that she died in 1927 while they were digging peanuts. In that era it was usually done in August or September. This memorial does not allow a date range of Aug-Sep to be entered, so I have arbitrarily chosen September since that would be the longest. If anyone has better dates, please contact me.
Mary has no Tombstone. On the simple concrete slab over her grave, only faintly visible in 1972, scratched into the concrete was what appeared to possibly be "Mary S. S. Haralson." This may not be accurate, and if anyone has actual documentation of her full name, or other information, please let me know.
Note: Most of the women in her Mother's Adams line had 3 and sometimes 4 or 5 given names; however, if no Family Bible survived to prove what they are, it is hard to reconstruct their full names. My family said it was Mary A. E. and I do know that was the same as her father's younger sister, so I have listed it as such. No documentation so far. Mary had multiple given names, and it is very likely that she was named after her Father's younger sister, Mary A. E. Helms, with other given names of her own. [Her sister, called "Mandy," had 5 known given names.]
Mary and Russell Harrelson (various spellings in different documents) had six children that I know about. Their only daughter, Eliza Virginia, died from burns at age 10.
