Virginia Deane Carson, 97, of Springfield, died at 7:25pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born May 16, 1916, in Sinclair, IL to James Nathaniel and Pearl Josephine Zirkle Lindsey. She married Walter Henry Carson September 30, 1943; he preceded her in death on April 7, 1983.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ilah Lindsey Rossman and Betty Lindsey and one brother, Dale Lindsey.
Surviving are two daughters, Patti (Dean) Bilyeu and Ginny Rhoades, both of Springfield; two sons, Curtis Dean (Jane) Greenwood of Melbourne, FL and Ronald Lee Greenwood (Vye) Greenwood of Jacksonville, IL; one stepson, Harold Carson of Noble, MO;
fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren & several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a member of The Church of Latter-Day Saints.
She retired from Sears as a manager in the candy dept in 1971.
