Veteran of World war II. Served in the United States Army Air Corps. Stationed in Old Buckingham, England with the 453rd Bombardment Group. Captain Faulkner flew 32 missions as a lead B-24 pilot. Recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross with one oak leaf cluster, an Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters and the European Campaign Ribbon with two bronze stars. Graduate of the University of Texas and former county commissioner of Reeves County. Preceded in death by one of his three brothers, Joe Carroll.
