Terence Lovett was born about 1828 in Cty Tyrone, Ireland. He came to US with his parents John Lovett and Isabella McBride Lovett between 1832-1834. His siblings were: Patrick, John, Joseph, Alexander, (all born Ireland), and Mary Ann, Thomas, and Benjamin, (all born Philadlephia).

Terence married Julia Donlen or Dulan on September 19, 1848 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA by Rev. D. F. Dewitt. The witness was Brigit Campbell.
They had the following children:
1 Mary Ann 1850 (Greer, Fennimore)
2 John born 1852 - 1910
3 Thomas born 1854
4 Ellen born 1857
5 Isabelle born abt 1863 (Richard B Kelly)

1850 Cedar Ward, Philadelphia, Terence Lovett age 23, born Ireland and a Boatman. Julia was 22 born N.J., and Mary Ann was about 8 months old. They were living right next door to Terence's brother Patrick.

The Philadelphia Public Ledger on September 28th & 30th, 1861 that reads: This is a fine chance. Pay commences when mustered in. Headquarters at Twenty-Third and South Streets. Captain Michael J. Campbell, 1st Lieutenant TERENCE LOVETT, and 2nd Lieutenant Geo. B McClellan.

Terence's wife Julia died in 1865.
After her death, Terence married a Mary Donnelly born about 1833, and she had a son John born about 1868. After Terence's death she married Daniel/David Young who also had other children. Son John was listed as Young in 1870 with her.

Terence died on Nov. 4th, 1868 at Philadelphia, PA.
