Sarah was the second of six known children born to Abijah Cole and Sarah Kent of Harvard, Mass. According to Frank T. Cole, author of a Cole genealogy covering this family (publsihed 1887), after the death of her father, Sarah came to Westmoreland, NH with other members of her family. She died unmarried at the age of 23, and was buried in this cemetery and had a marker on her grave. However, this memorialist was not able to find her marker when visiting this cemetery in 1993 and again in 2011.
